Science Communication + Outreach

Science should be shared with communities

Alongside my research, I’m deeply committed to science communication and making ecology accessible beyond academia. My children’s book, Across the Wetland with Finn, introduces young readers to wetland ecosystems through storytelling, helping build early connections to nature and conservation. This book will be available for purchase in 2026, and has be funded through Blue Future Pathways.
I also co-host and co-produce the podcast Fellowship of the Research, where we break down scientific ideas, share graduate research experiences, and make the process of science more transparent and relatable—especially for students and early-career researchers.
Beyond these projects, I’m actively involved in outreach through workshops, classroom visits, and community programming. Whether working with young learners or the broader public, my goal is to foster curiosity, build environmental literacy, and show that science is something everyone can engage with and care about.
